- Released in February 2001, the 7th-generation Mitsubishi
Lancer Evolution featured a highly rigid body, a 280hp turbocharged 2-liter
engine, and an electronically-controlled 4WD system with an active center
differential. Its superb performance made it a popular choice for motorsports
such as rally racing and gymkhana. In the USA, the car was introduced and
immortalized to U.S. auto enthusiasts by the popular racing game known as
Gran Tourismo. The Tamiya R/C version is modeled in 1/10 scale, features a
polycarbonate hyper detailed body and it is mounted on the easy to assemble
TT-01 Type-E 4wd chassis platform.
